
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actress and singer from the United States. She began her acting career by starring in stage productions while attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut in the role of Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and was in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. Later, she appeared in the action-thriller film Spartan (2004) and received applause for her performance on the drama on television Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was the title role in the teen noir TV series Veronica Mars (2004-2007), getting praise from the critics and winning an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance. The 2014 movie she reprised her character as the title character and in the new season, she played the title character. In the course of her work in Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) which was reprising the role she had performed in the New York musical of the same name.Bell played the role of Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until 2008. Bell voiced her character, the main narrator of the Teen Drama Series Gossip Girl. She will reprise the role in the sequel in 2021. Bell was also the voice of Jeannie van den Hooven, the leading female character from Showtime's comedy series House of Lies. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This part led to her being nominated for an Golden Globe Award. Bell was also the main character of the streaming series The Woman in the house across the street from the Girl in the Window.
