Shailene Woodley, an American activist and actress. She rose to fame with her portrayal in the role of Alexandra King the teen addicted girl on The Descendants. Her acclaimed performance as Alexandra "Alex" King from The Descendants led to her performing several other challenging characters with ease. Shailene is able to achieve a prominent role in the field at a young age that is an impressive accomplishment. When she began her career, she was working on television shows and commercials her next step was to take on important roles in Hollywood films. Many awards have been won by her for her outstanding acting. These include MTV Movie Awards as well as People's Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards.
