Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. She made her screen debut with her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a theater professor in one of the best Romanian drama schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. It was the European Film Promotion Board named her a European Shooting Star in 2008. She was for four years a professor in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria Martinca is a Romanian actor born April 1st, 1978 in the city of Iasi, Romania. The actress's debut film, Sex Traffic, won the British Academy Television Award in the category of Best Actress. She also was awarded numerous prizes for her performance in 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. She was in 2007 the lead role in as a character in the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 months, 3 weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days), by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar on the BBC five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular in her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. Later she as Irma's German grandmother in Fury the film, which came out in 2014.
